Asisat Oshoala Helps Barcelona Qualify For First Champions League Final.

Asisat Oshoala on Sunday, April 28, helped Barcelona to reach the Champions League final.

- Barcelona beat Bayern Munich 1-0 and qualified for the Champions League final on 2-0 aggregate - They will meet French giants Lyon in the final on May 18 at the Groupama stadium Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala was in cloud nine on Sunday, April 28, after helping her club Barcelona to reach Champions League final for the first time in the club's history. Although the Super Falcons' star did not score in the semifinal encounter against Bayern Munich, she was superb for Barcelona despite having a player sent off. Barcelona who had earned a 1-0 win in the first leg in Germany broke the deadlock at the end of a hard-fought first half thanks to a penalty from Mariona Caldentey to win 2-0 on aggregate. Oshoala and her teammates will meet Lyon in the final on May 18 at the Groupama stadium in Budapest after the French side sent out Chelsea in the other semifinal. The 24-year-old Asisat Oshoala however took on social media to celebrate her club's success reaching the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala has played nine games in all competitions for Barcelona since joining in February and she has scored seven goals in six League games this season.

Asisat Oshoala was out for a month due to injury and made a return in Sunday's 1-0 win at Bayern Munich in the Women's Champions League. Lieke Martens opened the scoring for the hosts after just 11 minutes and Oshoala scored twice in four minutes shortly after the half-hour mark to make the score 3-0.
