Federal Government Unveils Plan for Every Nigerian to Own a House in 3 Years
Minister of State, Power, Works and Housing, Hon. Mustapha Baba Shehuri has revealed that the federal government is working on a plan that will ensure that every Nigerian owns a house in 3 years.
Plans are in top gear to ensure that it built 16-17 million units of houses every year across the states of the federation for public and private workers, he said, adding that the project which would be achieved under a Public-Private Partnership arrangement was already in sight. “Indeed, the Ministry’s plan to build several housing units in every state of the federation for public and private workers every year, over the next three years, under a Public-Private Partnership arrangement has reached an advanced stage in terms of implementation.”
