The 26-year-old man responsible for the alleged rampage in Melbourne's city centre on Friday has been identified as Dimitrious Gargasoulas.
The Melbourne resident has a history of mental health and drug-related issues and was charged with family violence offences last weekend. On Friday afternoon police shot the 26-year-old in the arm before dragging him out of a car and arresting him after he allegedly drove his car through the CBD killing three people. A baby is among four people who have been killed after a car 'deliberately' ploughed into pedestrians in Melbourne's city centre during the lunchtime rush.
Baby boy critically injured after his pram is dragged 100 metres down Melbourne street
A baby boy was critically injured in the incident after being ripped from his pram, which was dragged down the street for 100 metres by a rampaging car before it was finally stopped by police.
The baby's mother watched in horror and, as people ran for their lives in the ensuing chaos, she was heard desperately begging: 'Where is my baby?'
In a video, provided by Melbourne's Most Wanted Lads, part of the boy's crumpled pram can be seen laying next to a set of traffic lights, with the child nowhere in sight.
Disturbing footage shows the pram surrounded by other victims, some sitting up while medics tend to them, while others lay motionless on the pavement.
